The 2015 National Mentoring Summit: Expanding the Mentoring Effect took place January 28-30, 2015 at the Renaissance Washington, DC, Downtown, in the heart of our nation’s capital. This event is the only national forum that brings together practitioners, researchers, corporate partners, government and civic leaders, national youth-serving organizations and the network of affiliate Mentoring Partnerships to explore and advance mentoring’s positive impact on individuals and communities.
The video, The Mentoring Effect, tells the story of Robin and Joe who were matched through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Massachusetts Bay when Joe was just eight years old. Their long-term relationship has impacted the lives of many people as Joe has grown to be a man committed to giving back to his community. This story exemplifies the mentoring effect and was the opening that set the stage for the 2015 National Mentoring Summit.
