The 4th annual Kinship Partners “Taste of the Cuyuna Lakes” fundraiser was held on Saturday, May 6th at Ruttger’s Bay Lake Lodge.
Ten chefs brought their most delectable starters, entrees, and desserts to serve the sold-out gathering supporting the Crosby office of Kinship Partners youth mentoring program. Chef Judges for the evening were Eunice Wiebolt – Author of award-winning Cooking with Confidence and Cooking with More Confidence – of East Gull Lake and Sandy Davis of Crosby.
The winner for Best Starter was the Croft Pub & Grub for their Thai Chicken Tacos.
The award for Best Entrée was presented to The Deerstand for their Lobster Ravioli served in a creamy garlic sauce.
The award for Best Dessert went to The Wharf for their Grasshopper French Toast.
The People’s Choice Award, which is voted on by the guests in attendance, was presented to Brian Chaffee from Maucieri’s Italian Bistro, Bar & Deli who served; Chicken Pancetta Florentine stuffed shells topped with Gorgonzola Alfredo.

We are pleased to announce that the Kinship Partners Crosby office will be hosting its 5th Annual Taste of the Cuyuna Lakes on Friday, April 6, 2018, at Ruttger’s Bay Lake Lodge to recognize and celebrate the fine restaurants and chefs from the Cuyuna Lakes area.
The premier chefs will provide an evening of gourmet tastes and the samples of wine and beer contribute to making this a very special occasion. Along with a silent auction, it is an “eat a little, drink a little, bid a little…” evening of merriment for everyone! All proceeds benefit the Crosby area Kinship Partners youth mentoring program.
While you are enjoying the wine and beer tasting time (5:00 pm-6:30 pm) professional chef/judges will be sampling the evening’s dishes to determine the award winners from the following categories: st6:30arter (appetizer, soup, or salad), entrée, and dessert.
Then at 6:30 pm, as our guest, you will enter the dining room and “Taste” the samples provided by area chefs and caterers. In addition, you will vote for your favorite which will determine the People’s Choice Award.
