Melissa Fussy and Anaya Meyer
Melissa and Anaya have a mission; to photograph a tree that grows in a special place to them. That place is Wipple Park in Baxter and they determined to photograph it every month for a year.

This is how the challenge began in Melissa’s words…

“It all came about when we were taking pictures around Brainerd to print and send to a friend that is overseas and is from Brained. The picture in October turned out so cool that we decided to go back every month to see the seasons of the tree and how it changes along with its background.  It has been fun. Once we have them all we are going to put together a collage of some sort.”

Can you think of a fun task to complete on a consistent basis? Not only will your mentee enjoy it, but you will be making memories that will last a lifetime.

Thank you, Melissa and Anaya, for inspiring us!

Anaya Meyer

Anaya has been a straight A student all her school career including this last year of 8th grade.  She is taking advanced classes and is in the choir and playing the clarinet in the band.  I am extremely proud of her and enjoy telling as many people as I can about her success.  I have enjoyed watching her grow and develop confidence; she is also a great friend and sister to her 3 brothers.
